Weiser River Wagon Train

Here are a few pictures from the Weiser River wagon train. There were about 15 wagons and a bunch of out riders . We started in Weiser on Friday and traveled 12 miles to our first camp. There were alot of bridges to cross and Von got his mules bridge broke! We ate some great food! Then on Saturday we traveled 20 miles to Midvale.  We camped in the city park, got to shower and listened to a band.  Sunday we traveled 18 miles to Goodrich. We saw a zebra (yep a zebra), a few herds of goats and some people even saw a mama bear and her two cubs. Then on Monday we traveled 10 miles to Council where we loaded up and headed home!

Jaxson was the only kid and made friends with everyone on the wagon train!

Plow day was a blast! We had pretty good weather and everyone had a good time! We want to give big THANKS to George Olaveson for letting us use his field!

April Newsletter Plow Day

The Spring Clinic was a great hit!! We had a ton of fun for the whole family. The pulls were just as awesome, there was a lot of great competition! A special thanks to all those who helped make the Spring Clinic such a great success.

Our upcoming event is the Plow day on April 28th, 2012. We'll start plowing at 9:30 AM!
This year the plow day will be at a different location then it has been in the past. We'll be plowing at Mountain River Veterinary Clinic. A lot of you might Know it as George Olaveson's Vet Clinic just of County Line Road. The address is 3745 County Line Rd. Rigby, Idaho.
Directions: on Hwy 20 take ext 318. Turn onto County Line rd heading west about a 1/2 mile. It will be on your right hand side. We'll be plowing behind the clinic.

For lunch the club will provide the hamburgers and hot dogs and the condiments for them. Please bring your favorite side dish or desert to share.

There will be plows and other equipment available to use and share for everyone to try.
Bring all of our friends and family for a fun day of the old traditional farming!

We will also be selling Intermountain Draft horse and Mule Association hats!We will be accepting dues for 2012 as well ( or you can mail them to 1913 E 97th N. Idaho Falls, ID 83401).

Spring Clinic

Wow! What a fun day we had on Saturday! We want to give a big THANK YOU to all those that helped make this day happen...the club president Maigain Summers, the board of directors, all those who brang food and helped in the kitchen ( it was all super yummy), Annalee Avery for running the computer for the auction and being the cashier!! Max and Kate Palmer and their friends for doing the auction and announcing the pulls( results will be posted soon)! And thanks to all of you who donated items for the auction and those you that spent your hard earned cash to support the club! Here are a few pictures from the day.
